Yesterday the Red and Black Cafe was warm and packed full of folks to hear music. No place to sit, steam up the windows, inside from the outside on a chilly damp Portland night. Our friends Tenaya Wallach and Jason Montgomery (They go be the name The Swallowtails and are wonderful) were sharing the night with Brian Cutean (who is tops!). Hearing Brian play always leaves me feeling the need to go home straight away and play guitar which is exactly what I did. Home through the chill and the quiet of the neighborhoods.
