A couple of evenings ago I passed the memorial Ghost Bike on Stark & 26th. This bike is for is for Nick Bucher. Dog-Eye at the Zoobomb fourm posted the following when I was trying to figure out just who had died at this intersection; (Thank you Dog-Eye) "That is where Nick Bucher died about 6 months ago. He was crossing or turning onto stark, when a speeding jaguar hit him nearly head on. i heard the screeching of the tires and went outside in time to see the gruesome aftermath. His bike was split in two, and he looked just as bad. He later died at OHSU. but the EMS was in no hurry to leave the scene, so he may have been DOA. Despite some malicious allegations left in sharpie on the ghost bike (which i painted over) he WAS wearing a helmet and HAD both lights on."
