The Doug Fir Again

Our main pal Zak Borden is on tour with his cousin Willy Mason. They had an opener tonight with KT Tunstall (KT as in Katie) who is from Scotland. Willy's tunes are very cool and their set was absolutely wonderful. The show was at the Doug Fir Lounge and the house was sold out. This was due no dbout to heavy rotation on some local radio station or other (I'm still new in town and haven't got the stations sussed out yet). But the record company has KT and her drummer on tour in style in this big tour coach - and their a duo! One little amp, two guitars, some drums, and no product. To buy KT's album you have to pay for it at the gig, receive a coupon which you have to take to Tower records in order to actually get the album. In Seattle two nights ago a friend of Zak's did just this...and was told at the record store that the album doesn't come out 'til the middle of February! There's a way to piss off fans in ten seconds flat! She was alright but Casey and I split after four songs. He drove home and I walked empty streets back to my little room. Willy though was honest, focused, and solid. And it was great to see Zak with him. Cheers fellows!
