Safety Danger fellow sure has a hell of a time of it, and I think this one is particularly fantastic!
And last Sunday morning I did after all have to take my Dad back up to the ER with yet another post surgery infection. We were up in Coupeville 'til Wednesday. Now he's home and on an antibiotic for three weeks, feeling marginal, and it's wet and gray outside. His spirits remain remarkably high though!

And, first it was Utah Phillips last week catching the train, and then we have Bo Diddley and Alton Kelly hop freights on the same day. Damn!
Here's a lovely poster that Alton Kelly did for two nights (August 5th and 7th, 1966) of Bo Diddley at the Longshoreman's Hall in San Francisco. Peace everyone.

Dear TimOH!
You know what's funny, I got to see Bo Diddley because Derek's old band the Syn jilted the Aladdin (and the Tractor Tavern for that matter) so many times that the Aladdin gave me tix for Bo (they were free--a perk of being on their email list--speaking of which--when was their last email?) So maybe in the convoluted way that happiness runs you are responsible for me seeing Bo Diddley?
Hugs to you and my wishes for health to your Da.
