This is almost crazy enough to work...

My friend Michele typed to say that she thought it was hilarious that I was the 16,000 member of RAA. I must admit to not quite knowing what she was talking about….
So when Casey typed and said the same thing – he filled me in. And it’s true. Over at the cool site Ryan Adams Archive.com I apparently signed up at precisely the right moment to become the 16,000 member. They even put my name and a shout up on the homepage and that’s what Michele and Casey saw. Here’s the deal though, (and it’s been brought on the boards at RAA) what’s the door prize?? I’ve thought about it, and at first I thought it should be an old dead set of guitar strings from one of Ryan Adam’s Guilds. But then I thought the better of it seeing as though I have plenty of my own dead guitar strings. I could wait ‘til the Whiskeytown re-issue of Strangers Almanac comes out in March and see if they’ll send me one, but that seems like a lot of trouble. So, I’ve got it. A fitting door prize for the 16,000 RAA member? How about an “I Want To Go To Magnolia Mountain” bumper sticker signed by Phil Lesh. Ya? Cool? Far out, no? I’m sure Ryan could paste that operation together. Easy. So - Hey Mr. Adams! It’s me, your pal Timothy Hull – number 16,000. Thanks for the prize! Drop me a line when you need my post address.
