Transient Spaces #1

Here are some photos from the Village Building Convergence's warehouse space at Disjecta. This was the hub for the week-long convergence of builders, artists, and thinkers and it rocked. Last Thursday the space was an empty warehouse and by Saturday it was a village. I was honored to play a couple of songs on Monday evening, then returned though the week to see what was up. I loved being in the space, totally. By the time you read this it will all be gone.

This is the main stage on the second floor of Disjecta. The painted add for paper and roofing is on the outside of the warehouse next door painted on the bricks and now incorporated into the room.

Meals were served up on the second floor also. There was a prep kitched downstairs and a cooking kitchen outside.

The massage room downstairs was one of many spaces.

I cought the Everyone Orchestra soundchecking but then had to run.

This is the outdoor kitchen that turned out all of the meals for the week. It is actually underneath the Burnside bridge....

...And this is the indoor prep kitchen on the first floor of Disjecta
