The old year went out in a blaze of glory. Er, actually I stayed home and was mellow. But not before a fantastic gig in Eugene with Circled by Hounds at my old nemeses of a pub – Sam Bonds Garage. Almost just the sound of the name makes me not want to play music anymore. Sometime I’ll sit and write down all of my Sam Bonds stories, but not today.

A Circled By Hounds family photo the morning of New Year's Eve.

Last friday Casey and company played a mighty show at the Doug Fir. The lineup included Little Sue singing away, Ezra Holbrook playing drums, Jenny Conlee on keys and accordion, Jason Montgomery on bass, and Hanz Araki playing flutes and whistles. The show was wonderful! Afterhours was at mine and the last straggler left at near on 6 in the morning which lead for a somewhat thick headed Saturday and a rally to play a gig at the Alberta St. Public House with Myshkin and Sailor that night.

Now there is snow out the window and bright sun above the neighborhoods.
